Bye-Bye Summer Love, Hello Fresh Faces!
Summer may feel like a long-lost dream now that your tan has faded and you’ve swapped those booty shorts for cardigans. And if you’re like many other daters, you may also be in the process of saying good-bye to a hot summer romance. And that’s a good thing!
No matter how steamy your summer fling was, now is the time to get focused on the new season, and a new love. To whip you into great fall-dating shape, we have a few tips to share:
1. Say good-bye (all the way good-bye) to what’s-his-name from the summer. This means you must thoroughly let go—physically, technologically (can we say, sext buddy?!) and emotionally. If you don’t, you simply cannot move on with a clear mind and an open heart.
2. Expand your dating peripheral vision. This season, think of new ways and new places you can meet great men. Are you typically a bar-goer? Try joining a co-ed team instead. Are coffee shops your thing? Check out a food tasting. The more open-minded you become, the higher your chances are of not only meeting a variety of potential new love interests, but of possibly adopting a new hobby, too.
3. Get a dating buddy. Every smart dating gal has a wingwoman. But unlike a guy’s wingman, ours is more like a personal dating coach. Enlist a trusted girlfriend whose dating approach you admire and adopt her as your mentor and fan. Ask her to encourage you to get out there and date…and of course bail you out with an “emergency phone call” whenever appropriate.
4. Leverage the season. Fall is a killer time to be outdoors and your last opportunity to enjoy doing so for awhile. So take advantage of rooftop parties, apple-picking adventures, county fairs and Halloween festivities for lots of dating fun!
5. Fall into fashion. We love fall fashion, especially for dating. Fall fashion screams, “I want to cozy up with YOU!” So treat yourself to an array of cute new tights, a fab pair of boots and plenty of cozy sweaters.
6. Be thankful. Instead of bawling over that lost summer-lovin’, feel blessed that you had the experience of those butterflies in your stomach. At the time it made you feel amazing…and now it’s time to get yourself together to set out for what the future holds. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, etc. Not every relationship is supposed to last forever. Each one simply leads us closer to finding our happily-ever-after.
Personally, fall is our favorite season with the changing leaves and fresh new harvest of men to get our hands on. We encourage you to approach all dating with the same vigor and enthusiasm as you do a new fall wardrobe or the season’s greatest holidays. A new crop of guys is just waiting for you, so go get ‘em!

Cheers to that, doll! We know saying goodbye can be sooooo hard to do, but if you don’t, you can’t say hello to something new and better! Good luck! xx
