Get on the Quest to Find “The Ones”
When you hear someone talking about “Finding the One,” odds are that you think about love. Finding a person with whom to build a happy and harmonious life together, complete with romance, marriage (or not), children and holding hands, while you stroll into the sunset of life. Most of us have been, at one point in our lives, on a quest to find our One soulmate.
But guess what? That is just The One when it comes to a life partner. The One exists in every other facet of your life, too. But odds are that you spend a lot less time thinking about your other Ones—and it’s time to!
I was recently reminded about this when I moved into my new Manhattan apartment. Well, let me tell you, folks, this apartment is my One apartment—at least, for the current chapter of my life. I knew it the minute I walked into the apartment. Going into the viewing, I didn’t have a crystal-clear sense of what I was looking for, but when I saw my apartment, it just felt right and I knew.
Take a minute and survey your life. Think about:
your job
your body
your friends
your pastimes
your home
your partner
how you spend your time
Are they The One? The One body you want to be living in? The One set of friends that fulfill you and make your heart happy?
I am not talking about making a list of the pros and cons. I could do that with my apartment, too. Pros: the view, the layout, the luxury, the conveniences, the location, the atmosphere, the staff. Cons: the management. But finding The One is more than the sum of the items on that list. It’s a full-on spiritual experience. It’s the certainty that you have found exactly that which your heart most desires. It’s the spark that comes from the recognition of The One, a celebration that The One really does exist and how fortunate you are that you found it!
Many of us have perfectly satisfactory lives in many of these areas, and to that I say, rock on! I now want to challenge you to kick it up a notch and ask yourself, is it The One? You can tell the difference. Think about a time when you found The One. What did it feel like? And where in your life would you like to summon that feeling, that recognition and certainty, next? Write a comment, and let’s get busy finding your One!

I do believe all the concepts you’ve offered for your post. They’re very
convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very brief for novices.
May you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time?
Thank you for the post.
I don’t think I’ve ever found the one for anything. That’s the problem of a perfectionist.
I’m still trying to find the one for my job. I don’t even have one yet. Anything i’ll take but i’ll love something that has to do with fashion.
my body is almost the one. i want to gain a couple of more weight and get a lil thicker. i’m getting there and so far i’m loving it
my friends are not the one. i need to choose them wisely so we can both make eachother stronger
my home will soon be the one. my room is getting fixed up and each day it’s looking better than the day before. i love it
how i spend my time is not the one i need more things to do so i won’t be bored all the time
Hmmm interesting.. I’m def nowhere I want to be in my life. I still want to find the career of my dreams.. which has always been one of the most important things to me. Having a job I truly love. I also believe in giving back to the community. Volunteering is a must.
Over summer I’ve been so lost! I’m applying for colleges next month, and it’s really difficult to find one that fits me – what location? what system? blah blah blah. Hopefully someday it will just click, and I’ll find the perfect fit!
Still searching for my One in many areas.
