Sinfully Delicious Waffles
Tomorrow (August 24) is National Waffle Day. I don’t know about you, but my affection for the nook and cranny-ed breakfast carb borders on obsession. Want to celebrate this day in style? Go out to the grocery store tonight, buy ingredients for any of the following recipes (or all!), and treat yourself to a bona-fide Waffle Day breakfast tomorrow! Eggos, I love you, but as our Partner-in-Crime Girlfriends know (have you voted in the National Girlfriend Awards yet?), sometimes it’s okay to be sinful.

If the usual waffs are way too sweet for your liking, get a load of Paula Deen’s Cornmeal Waffles with Spicy Chili (on FoodNetwork.com). Waffles made with yellow cornmeal get a decidedly savory spin, and a spicy chili topping comprised of ground chuck, onions, peppers, garlic, cumin, beans, tomato sauce, corn and more is definitely different than your usual Aunt Jemima.

I have seen this show on Food Network TV where she made this waffle. Looks good but not sure how it will taste. But won’t harm in trying, so I should try making those.

i’m slightly grossed out by the beer waffles, but then again I’m not a beer drinker because I can’t stand the taste or smell.

I have been craving waffles for quite some time. My brother makes these giant, fluffy belgian waffles. I believe he puts yeast in the batter and allows it to sit before pouring it into the wafflemaker.

ive never even thought of puttuing chili with waffles but this looks really yummy. Definitely a hearty breakfast!
