Top Ways to Help (Wo)man’s Best Friend
All of us get upset when we see a stray puppy or cat, or watch an ASPCA commercial, but feel powerless to help. To make matters worse, the down economy means many people are abandoning their pets and fewer and fewer of us have the means to adopt those animals in need. International Homeless Animals Day is coming up on August 20th (this Saturday), and in honor of celebrating friendship with the National Girlfriend Awards (have you voted for the winners yet?), here are ways to help your furry best friends!

Donate money – Organizations like the ASPCA, PAWS, Best of Friends Humane Society, Best Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society are dedicated to helping animals suffering from cruelty, abuse, homelessness and/or neglect. There are lots of ways to give—monthly donations, single gifts, or join team ASPCA and participate in races around the country!

Post a CommentI love animals. I want a tea cup dog. I do not like to see those heart breaking commercials. I think they should so hapay pets…some times.
I went to a pet adoption and I cried when I left because I just wanted to take all the cats home with me.
I love animals…I have a cat of my own and I am feeding two stay cats that live on my porch, they belong to my neighbors but they don’t feed them or give they water, so we have adopted them. It really hurts me to see any animal suffer and I wish I could take them all in.

i cannot explain how much i love animals! and its so heart breaking to see how animals are being treated in this economy!! i would also suggest donating money to get animals neutered! controlling the population can help us!

Animals are awesome. Just heard on the news they are using dogs now to sniff out early detection of cancer. That’s amazing!
