Easy Pieces to Transition from Summer to Fall
With the recession still affecting the economy and my pocketbook still recovering from my recent wedding, dropping hundreds of dollars on a new wardrobe for fall just isn’t an option. That’s why I try to make purchases in the spring that will carry me through the summer—and transition well into fall, too. Making your outfits last longer into the year isn’t as hard as you think if you remember to have some key pieces in your repertoire. And it helps that practically every building during the summer is over-air-conditioned, making it feel like winter anyway. Here are a few items I always carry through the seasons with me because they are climate- and trend-proof.

those boots are to die for! love it. my go to piece is a light leather jacket. I can wear it on chilly summer nights or put sweaters under it in the winter.
