Breakfast For Your Hair
Happy Saturday! Chances are your hair needs some TLC after a hectic work week and last night’s happy hour. Check out some super-easy tips from Natasha Sunshine of Byu-Ti Salon.
The MANE source of nutrition for your hair is a protein diet. If you want healthier hair, you need to make sure your diet consists of protein, water, iron and vitamin C. This will protect your hair from thinning, breakage and brittleness.
So, start your day with a protein shake.
Take a scoop of Power-gy protein and a scoop of almond butter, banana and one tablespoon flax oil. Mix in blender.
Protein for strength.
Almond butter and flax for omegas.
Banana for energy and potassium.
Other suggested protein-rich breakfast foods: Milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs…just to name a few.

i normally eat nothing for breakfast, and I have really brittle hair. Thinking the protein shake might be a good change for me.
Usually I need nothing for breakfast! That is probably not very good at all. My goal is to eat breakfast every morning once Fall semester starts!

Spinach is also a good protein food. Add it to smoothies to for a boost!
I’M GOING TO START MY DAY WITH IRON, VITAMIN C AND PROTEIN FOR NOW ON.

welll i normally dont eat breakfast but when i do i like to eat a apple or some pancakes or some sunny side eggs with milk yummmmy
Check your local grocer’s international frozen section for passion fruit puree. GREAT for smoothies. Sweeten w/ agave nectar and it tastes just like Smoothie King.
well i drink two of those a day && my hair is falling out like crazy
If protein= strenth, what equals growth? Or does protein/strength translate to growth? Eggs, milk, turkey, etc are good sources of protein for me. Maybe I should try the protein shake.
Protein and strength translate into growth. Your hair is made of proteins. Most people’s hair grows at a rate of .5 inches per month unless there is another internal issue (lack of sleep, stress, disease) protein will strengthen the hair helping you to maintain lenght (so it doesn’t break while comb, washing, blow-drying etc.).
Iron? I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing!
