‘Tis the season to be grilling, and while we’ve already clued you in to this summer’s BBQ essentials and some stellar steak recipes, iVillage has compiled a list of grilled vegetable recipes to make sure your side dishes are just as sumptuous and satisfying as your main courses.
Yep, it’s time to banish the notion that only peppers and onions can be thrown atop the grill, because Rick Browne, barbecue-er (ist?) extraordinaire, claims that nearly any veg can be grilled! Making burgers? Why not grill up some hearts of romaine to top them?
One of my favorite ideas is throwing potatoes in a tinfoil packet with butter or oil and letting them sit over the grill. When done, remove from packet and recklessly smash, adding whatever herbs and spices you please for a totally summer-inspired side. Check out more ideas on [iVillage.com].
