Hot Weather Hair-Savers
I’m a gal that wears her hair in locs. It’s a low-maintenance ‘do that requires few products and no heat, but has endless styling options. While my hair type is pretty specific, I’ve got gal friends of many hair types and the summer’s hot weather can be hard for all of us. I’ve managed to find some of the best products for the straight-haired mamas, curly girls and everyone in between.

Nothing sucks more than straightening your hair only for it to end up in a big frizz ball within minutes. Gals who desire silky-straight hair may want to give Redken Align 12 Ultra-Straight Balm, Medium Control a whirl ($18 at Drugstore.com). The bonding system not only helps keep your locks humidity-resistant, but leaves your hair super-shiny and luscious, too.

Post a CommentI am an avid SCUBA diver and I wouldn’t get on a boat without Johnson & Johnsons detangler. It’s a must have for hours in the ocean.
Gonna give the wheatgrass shampoo a try
pantene and redkin work well on all types of hair!
redken, sorry
What should I use if I perm my hair but I want the curls to stay soft, not crunchy?
Hey! To keep curls soft and bouncy try Frederic Fekkai’s Luscious Curls Cream. The products creamy texture won’t give you the crunchies, you can purchase it at fekkai.com .
I use Aveda’s Be Curly styling prep and their smoothing serum. I’ve got really curly hair and it helps battle the friz.
Redkin and Matrix both work great!
sleek is ok….
What do girls with fine straight hair use???
Lesley, for girls with fine straight hair it’s good to use products aimed for volume that are also weightless. Pantene’s Fine Hair collection includes weightless conditioners and styling products: http://www.pantene.com/en-US/hair-care-collections/fine-hair-products.aspx
i have naturally curly, frizzy, unruley hair. I need to sample everything on the market! lol
