Sunscreen for Oily Skin: I know, I know. Slicker-skinned sistahs are probably cringing at the thought of putting sunscreen on…all thanks to its dated reputation of being greasy and thick (ew!). I am loving La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid ($29.50 at DermStore.com), which is guaranteed to go on skin matte, light and smooth, no slimy residue guaranteed.

Very good suggestions for females with acne like my self. I have it on my face and my back and i hate greasy sunscreens. I love to swim and i try to make sure my skin is protested when i do go swimming. Thanks, its good to know that there are non greasy sunscreens for females with acne and some are less expensive than others.

I’ve never used the Jack Black sunscreen before, but I LOVE their post-shave gel! I use it when I get sunburned and it feels and smells amazing!!

I don’t have a favorite sunscreen. I buy what’s on sale. They are all pretty good.

I find that Murad’s Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 works best on my acne prone skin. But I also use Bare Escentuals foundation which has SPF 20, so for most days, this works for me. I can also tollerate (on occasion) Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer with SPF15. Sadly, my skin won’t tollerate higher SPF’s without severely breaking out.

I only go in the sun with long sleeves and pants because I have trouble finding sunscreens that work for me. I am alergic to the sun, but yet I love to be outside. I will try the clinique 50 and see how that works.

I agree with @AtlDimeDiva, everyone should wear sunscreen. I’ve worked in the skincare/plastic surgery field for 10+ years and it’s sobering to see what the sun’s rays can do over time. I use Jan Marini’s Antioxidant Face Protectant and I love it. I’ve also used Nia-24 and think it’s fabulous too.

    Great article!

I use Dr. Jart’s Beauty (Blemish) Balm SPF 45 P+++. It’s like a very light and silky foundation, anti-aging treatment, and uva/uvb suncreen all in one and is the consistency similar to a serum. Its great for my fair skin which is oily, acne-prone, and sensitive.

I just don’t like the feeling of something that sits on my skin. I wish there is some sunscreen that really absorbs into the skin and still does the job effectively. I have sensitive, combination skin and sweat quite a bit so putting on sunscreen sometimes annoys me but I know I need to :-(

      Hey Oumsker,

La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid is ideal for combination skin and goes on matte with each application. Are there any other problems you face? We’re here to help!
