Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, tomorrow is Saturday…what better time to let you know that beer may actually be good for you! Yes, you read that right. This bevy may be calorie-laden and it usually faces the brunt of alcohol trash-talking as red wine is praised in all of its antioxidant glory, but Shape.com is here to debunk the myth that beer is all bad for you!
Bet you didn’t know beer reduces your risk of heart disease, or that it contains fiber along with other vitamins and minerals. I don’t like beer. But i didn’t know that it was good for you. Very interesting. I don’t like wine or other types of alcohol either.

I only like beer on an extremely hot day, and I like Blue Moon…..but beer is usually never my first choice. It makes me feel waaaayyy too bloated.

I’m not a fan of domestic, except for Heineken. But I’ll drink some imported.

That’s great. Lately I’ve been liking beer more than wine. Wine for some reason gives me more of a headache and I feel really dehydrated.
