The way to a man’s heart is obviously through food. We interviewed our Staffers—males shared their favorite recipes, females shared the no-fail dishes that the fellas always enjoy. The result? Comfort foods galore.

-Cait Rohan

Paula Deen’s Southern Fried Chicken (on Food Network) is a favorite that one of our male Staffers says he makes himself! With a house seasoning of salt, black pepper and garlic powder, plus hot red pepper sauce, I can guarantee that all parties involved will unanimously enjoy.

One recipe that has been a go-to for me is from Gina Neely of the Neelys. Her “Get Yo Man Chicken” is what you want!!! I don’t know it is about it but from the white wine infused with tomato and rosemary to the succulent chicken thighs, it has him hooked!! The first time I fixed it, my huband claimed he wasn’t all that hungry before dinner and went for seconds!!!

I love to cook..especially for the people I love :) one of my boyfriends favorite dinners is fried pork chops and perogi’s I make homemade perogi’s…all u have to do is make the dumplings out of flour, milk, and baking powder..bout 2 cups of flour..1 tsp baking powder..and milk til u can roll it out..use a circular cookie cutter or jar lid ..fill w your homemade mashed potatos and cheese..or saurkraut and fry in butter until golden..salt and pepper them…for the pork chops..season them w salt n pepper..and watever u like..garlic..rosemary..italian seasonings..mrs dash..seasoned salt..whatever u like..do an egg wash..and coat them in a mixture of flour and italian bread crumbs…fry in oil til u can see on the side that they are cooked halfway up and flip em..an electric skillet on 300 is good or medium heat..my boyfriend talks bout this dinner often and gets me to cook it at least once a week :) enjoy!

These are great! My guy is so picky too so it’s hard to find things for him. One that I do that he really likes is Beef and Potato Turnovers, you can find the recipe on pillsbury.com. They’re made with beef, o’brien’s potatoes with onion and green peppers, cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, and rolled up in crescent rolls. Really easy to make and always a fave. Also for a party mini meatballs in the crockpot with grape jelly and chili sauce are always a hit!

I tired a few of these myself and the food came out good. I’m not the best cook, but definitely did an okay job.
