Revive Your Closet This Spring
When it comes to fashion, one of the biggest mistakes women make is spending too much time shopping and not enough time in their own closets. Yes, your closet may feel like the farthest thing from a magical place, but I assure you that with a little time and effort you can find some hidden gems you didn’t even know you had! (And you will save mucho dinero!)
There are many ways to get the creative process going, but one of my favorites is by using inspiration photos from celebs and fave sites. Here are six types of inspiration and some tips to get you started!
Celebrities: Thanks to the internet and magazines, pictures of celebrities are everywhere! Don’t get discouraged by the fact that their clothes cost thousands of dollars though. You can often find look-alikes for much, much less at Forever 21 or ASOS.com.
In this look: I re-created a Blake Lively look using almost-identical pieces found at Forever 21 and TJ Maxx for less than $200 total.
Faux leather jacket: Forever 21, $40
Dress: Forever 21, $30
Tights: Hue/TJ Maxx, $6
Boots: Cynthia Rowley/TJ Maxx, $85
Earrings: Urban Outfitters, $5
Just like J:
1. Charlotte Russe Pretty Petals One-Shoulder Dress, $29.99
2. Forever 21 Textured Leatherette Jacket, $39.80

Love this article. All you need are a few piece added each season to your own wardrobe & you’ll always be in style.
u hang on to stuff forever…get rid of it…and then see something similar…ugh!
I will try this too
I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m a pack rat but I have noticed that the few times I’ve gotten rid of something to Goodwill I end up looking for it later! Fashion always comes back around and has new ways to incorporate my old things!
I’ll try this!
good ideas
make over shows are the best
cute outfits and tips!
sorry, i meant cute outfits and great tips!
It’s so funny I re-discovered something from my closet five years ago and I got so many compliments. Another helpful tip… get your girlfriends together and have a girl party. Bring a bottle of champagne or wine and appetizers and gently used or new clothes, shoes and accessories and swap!
#2 is soooo cute, just in time for spring,
My fav. is #2 & #5…..#3 I love the shoes.
<3 it! #4 & #6 are my faves
#4 look is my favorite.
#5 is a cute look but the blue tank is a bit too bright for my taste.
I like look #6
I agree with Xena. #2 is my favorite without the puffy sleeves.
nice!
I like #3, that clean, classy, preppy look.
Look 2 is cute but I would pass on the puffy sleeves.
I don’t like the first look.
