Relationship Revenge

Sometimes, guys are a-holes. You think everything is fine and dandy in your relationship, then BAM! he stops calling. Um, excuse me? What’s worse is the lack of explanation. He’s either MIA or just doesn’t give you a straight answer when you call him out. That’s when anger strikes a cord and vengeance is plotted. One Shecky’s Staffer shares her story. Payback’s a beeotch, dude.

I had been dating a guy for a few months and I thought everything was going well. We would text constantly, but after a couple of weeks it started to slow down. We were still seeing each other on the weekends, and he acted like nothing was wrong, so I thought we were good.

Not! One night, I went out for my friend’s birthday and who do I see standing at the end of the bar? Yep, Mr. A-hole himself, with a Snookie look-alike at his side, gag. I caught his eye and he acted like I didn’t exist. To make my presence known, I sent him a text message that read: ‘Hope you have fun getting chlamydia, heard she’s a real ho!’ His face was priceless when he saw the text. I ordered myself a shot and deleted him from my phone!

Just move on. If you weren’t exclusive, then he’s free to see other people. If you were, then be glad you saw it for yourself and move on because he’s not worth your time or energy.

I had this guy that I met online. He couldn’t stop chatting me up. He told me how much he liked me. Plan for a big night out on the town with dinner and dancing. I like old school courtship and a big time date. I spent A LOT of time getting ready. As I was about to leave, i received a really short text to the effect he couldn’t make it! No explanation. I withheld my temptation to write back: “Glad to have not met you!”
Still not sure why he bothered making these elaborate plans. Who knows? All I know is there is a lack of integrity.

A very similar story happened to me, except I still have yet to see that guy again. Told me he would work on better communicating in a very serious talk we had, and then literally never called me again. I never called him out on it, because he doesn’t deserve me to reach out to him. Haven’t figured out why guys do this yet, but I hear stories of it happening all the time to us ladies. So it’s at least good to know I’m not alone :)

Absolutely no need to text him. Insulting another woman is also bitter and petty. He saw her. He knew she was there. He didn’t care. Her best reaction would have been none at all–why let him have the satisfaction of knowing you’re bothered??

    Hi ladies!

I’m seeing a lot of mixed stuff here! Everyone has great opinions. While yes, it may have been great to just walk away and forget it, I felt like his actions (bringing another girl to the bar and parading her in front of my face), called for some sort of reaction. The guy in this situation was a TOTAL ladies man, said he changed for me, etc. etc. so I felt like he expected me to cry and beg him to come back with me…not send a seething text. Feel like he was used to submissive women who would either cry or just ignore him. So I felt I put him in his place.

a PS on this story: He ended up dumping this chick and asking for ME back…he would still text me months later. I ignored all :)

Have you ladies ever gotten revenge on an ex? How?

She did take the high road. She text him and said good bye jerk and didn’t make a scene and that was the end. I think she is funny.

3rd that. Really childish. He wasn’t her boyfriend so he could see/date whom he wants. Move on to the next. He already did.

I 2nd that, very childish. Take the high rode and be the classy one. Now you are just another snookie too.

Dont think I would have sent a text…if I had caught his eye then, he knew I was there. He’s caught and trying to play it off, I see right then what kind of person he REALLY is and that’d be enough for me to be done with him. Clearly he’d already moved on, no need for me to text him to say goodbye!
