Men already don’t get our whole shoe obsession, but inspired by the man-repelling style of one of my fave bloggers, Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller, who spews out pieces only a fashionista could love on the regular, I decided to take it a, er, step further. Some of the footwear you’re about to view may be deemed fugly by most fellas, but there’s a place in my heart for these cuh-razy kicks.

Laid-back loafers are a surefire spring trend, but I’m not so sure my boyfriend would appreciate the overt granddaddy-ness of these Marcela Loafers ($68) from Free People. Man-hating factor aside, the dork in me loves the old-school suede and tassel design, especially for weekend jaunts come sunnier skies.
