Hey Shecksters! I’m Michelle from Missnonhuman.com, a personal fashion and art blog out of Houston that focuses on experimentation with different styles. I recently hit up Girls Night Out Houston and happened upon some pretty cool stuff. See my picks!

Here’s what I wore to Girls Night Out: a vintage leopard print hat, Forever 21 crochet sweater, Vera Wang Lavender cream wedges, and a black Balenciaga twiggy. Not quite warm enough for an outfit like this, but hey, I’m 100% ready for summer!

Missnonhuman.com is a lifestyle blog about Michelle Chang, a 21-year-old student in Houston, TX who loves fashion, studies art history, and makes art in any medium possible. I enjoy a range of styles, from goth to girlie and everything else. I try to share as much new and personal fashion as possible, rather than focusing on trends or what’s going down the runways. I strongly believe in experimenting with personal style and using the body as an empty canvas for a new creation with every outfit.

i hope they have a psychic in los Angeles too. That seems like a blast. So the goodie bags were light?

I had a great time, I met a lot of people who said there was a significant difference between this year and last year. I assumed the economy had a lot to do with it – the goodie bags did have a lot of duplicates but they were awesome.

Didn’t go to the houston one. Looking forward to ours in San Francisco. I like that they had a psychic reading. That’s kinda fun. Hope they do that for ours!

I was really, really disappointed with Shecky’s Houston this year!! The gift bags were much lighter than last year(majority of the items in my bag were duplicates). Not as many vendors as last year…..you could barely move around last year there was so much stuff(this year was not a good look for Houston).

I agree Feefee, there were way more vendors last year and the bag was kinda light. I do like how they included some products for women of color (AMBI).

I agree with you both. This was my first “Shecky’s Night” and I was immensely disappointed. I couldn’t even move, never made it to even half the vendors, and didn’t spend any of my money that I had so carefully put aside. I spent most of my time out on the balcony. The goodie bags had been so advertised that I was really looking forward to mine, and like FeeFee, had several of the same items in my bag.
