Kicking Back at Fashion Week with Kelly Cutrone
I always hear about all the “staged” acting on reality TV or how so much of the bad reality is actually good acting. Well, for all you religious reality tv watchers, Patti Stanger may be a brilliant matchmaker for millionaires, but Kelly Cutrone is sure NOT hell (kell!) on earth!
I bumped into my friend, known for her tough attitude on series like The Hills, The City and, of course, Kell On Earth, at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

You may also know her like I do from working with her New York/L.A. PR firm People’s Revolution, or from her best-selling memoir If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You ($12.33 on Amazon.com). Sure, TV and the book may not paint her in the most positive light, but trust me, there is so much more to her than the no-holds-barred boss we see on the shows.
Kelly is actually another Shecky’s fan and was happy to catch me up on what life is like these days: charity work, mothering her adorable daughter Ava, de-stressing with red wine and workouts…. Better yet, I learned that fans of her first book can rejoice—she is currently penning a new read Normal Gets You Nowhere, which focuses on successful misfits (think: Joan of Arc, John Lennon and Nelson Mandela) whose “oddness” helped them change the world. Watch the video and hear more about Kelly’s story and her upcoming book!
