Faves/Fails at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

With the last day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week upon us, I’d like to review some of the faves/fails I’ve seen thus far on the runways. See my three best hits and two worst misses, share your loves/hates!

FAVE: MODERN FLAPPER: The Great Gatsby is my favorite book of all time, so I was psyched to see some flapper inspiration this season! Alice + Olivia’s collection had me particularly entranced with pieces like this drop-waist sparkly Daisy Buchanan number. Vera Wang toughened this trend up, combining plenty of pleats and floaty fabrics with dramatic furs and dark hues. Either way, I’m a fan.

Overall I love the 70′s inspired and flapper pieces!! But Im not really a fan of the oversized and plaid trends. I look forward to seeing them in person, im sure somebody can turn these donts into a do.

The flapper style and the 70′s look with the yellow cardigan are both very chic!

I totally agree with your picks! I love the flapper look and that the 70s look isn’t going anywhere. The hats are hideous, but I have to say I am not too crazy about the school girl plaid. But then again I don’t have to wear it!! :)
