Claudia’s Picks: Dallas

We consider all of our girlfriends stars, and what better way to honor y’all than in the Lone Star state?! That’s right ladies, gear up for Girls Night Out Dallas, the second leg of our Texas takeover. All of my favorite products listed below will be at the event and they’re all guaranteed to make you look and feel like the star you are!

1. Stars always seem to have the perfect glow, don’t they?! Get the look for a fraction of the price with Endless Glow’s Flawless Faces (Retail Price: $14.99, Shecky’s Price: $11). This light spray is actually appropriate for use all over your body, so treat your skin to some sun-kissed shine even if it’s still winter.

2. Red lips are sultry and oh-so-glam. Look old Hollywood chic when you rock Maybelline’s Super Stay 24 Color in Cherry (Retail Price: $9.99, Shecky’s Price: Used in complimentary makeovers at the Maybelline Color Studio). The rich color and smudge-free formula make this product so star-status.

3. One of the perks of being a celeb is manis on the regular. For all of us ahem…rising stars, Nail Fraud nail decals (Retail Price: $12, Shecky’s Price: Complimentary sample in select Goodie Bags) are a more affordable alternative! With fun patterns like leopard, pictured above, these films stick firmly to nails and are show-stoppers in and of themselves.

4. We’ve mentioned some of our favorite celeb scents, but how to smell like a celeb without coining your own fragrance? Slumber Parties’ Simply Sexy Fragrance (Retail Price: $27, Shecky’s Price: $21) is just what its name implies. Even better, the scent is infused with pheromones so you’re sure to attract more suitors than a red-carpet celeb attracts paparazzi.

5. Nothing says starlet like a winning smile, so ensure there are no spinach-in-your-teeth incidents with Dentek’s Floss Picks (Retail Price: $4.00, Shecky’s Price: Complimentary sample in Goodie Bags). These flossers are small, discreet and portable, but they work overtime to let your smile shine.

I hope so. This will be my first Girl’s Night Out.
A wonderful smelling full-sized lotion and candle would also be perfect in the goodie bag.

To be quite honest I have to agree w/Lesley, the nail decals seem rather 80′ish and I definitely don’t wear red lipstick. Several girlfriends and myself will be attending the Dallas Girl’s Night to kick off my b’day weekend and I’m rather excited about it, but I have to admit I’m concerned that the Goodie Bag may not be worth my money because the majority of the items may not be inclusive of african-american/minority guests. Nonetheless, looking forward to it, hopefully it’ll be a great experience!

Trust me Courtney when I say it will be appropriate! The last two times I have been to GNO in Dallas the bag was half ethnic (from hair rinse to body sheen). I received several items that I gave away, because they were of no use to this white girl. Is it your first time to go? You will be happy you started the party at Shecky’s. Happy Birthday, faboulous!!
Ps. Make friends with another girl and trade products, that’s how I got what I wanted and gave another girl the chance to stock up!! :)

Agreed Courtney!!! I go to every Girls Night Out Dallas and last time I gave a majority of my Goodie bag to a girlfriend for her younger teenage children. I am concerned also after reading other comments that the Goodie Bags are not so great lately. This is a birthday celebration for me as well…hopefully, we get a big birthday surprise when we turn in our tickets for the goodie bags. Happy early birthday!!!!

I’m definitely going to Girls Night Out. I love red lipstick; it’s a staple in my makeup bag. And using floss definitely makes me feel confident –I can smile without worrying if something’s stuck in my teeth :)

I don’t wear red lipstick or leopard nails, but I guess we can all use floss picks. None of these items are that awesome.
