5 Best Fitness Investments for 2011

I know, I know. You’re tired of hearing about yoga. You either do it yourself or you feel like you’re vicariously doing it through the stories of people around you.
But it’s true: whether it’s the breathing, the stretching, or the things your mind does when you’re doing it, yoga is great way to start 2011. Or at least reading a book about it is. That’s why I highly recommend this book, Poser: My Life in Twenty-Three Yoga Poses ($15.60-$15.67 on SHOP.COM). The author, Claire Dederer, compares her life to yoga in witty, tangy prose we all can relate to.

Post a CommentDoing activities instead of “working-out” makes it more fun! Ride a bike, take a dance class, go for a swim. Personally, it just to have another purpose then working out – relaxation, fun with friends, etc!
Just started a gym membership I bought for a discount today. It has all sorts of fun classes to do. I’m so excited!
I’ve been visiting a bunch of gyms this week to figure out which one is the right fit for me!
mat and comcast on demand
The TrekDesk is genius…love it!! The Marisa Tomei hoopbody looks like lots of fun too!!
That trek desk looks awesome, but I can see someone having serious buyers remorse in a matter of days.
I love running.. I know it sounds boring, but I just love it.. I also love toning exercises and any workout that makes my body burn and sweat
Really cute but way to pricey for yoga pants!
i totally agree!
Love the trek desk. I stand the majority of the day, because sitting makes me slouch. This desk would definitely increase my exercise levels.
I love working out once I get to the gym. My problem is getting there! Lol! I love the pedometer idea!
Good stuff.
I didn’t know about the Marisa Tormei video. That totally sounds like fun. I’m gonna check it out. She is fit. Did anyone see her in the movie “The Wrestler”. Great shape.
I prefer to work out solo, but I make sure I load my ipod with fun songs with different paces so I can switch my work out up a little so I’m moving in sync with the beat of the music. I’m planning on investing in some EasyTone sneakers and some new cute work out clothes. I feel like I get a better workout when I like the way I look.
Once I get in the gym, I can’t stop working out. I love working out in Yogas, these pants are way out of my price range, maybe someday!
