SHE is…my Always-Logged-On Girlfriend! Phoebe and I are like Bonnie and Clyde, but better because our names rhyme. We met each other sophomore year of high school and became BFFLs almost immediately. We bonded over our curls, boys, academics and more. It’s been almost six years, and we’re still going strong. We’ve held a long-distance friendship, since I study in Boston and she’s in Connecticut, but we haven’t faltered. We catch up over AIM, FB Chat, texts and Skype. We may go one or two weeks without talking due to stress of schoolwork, but we’re always there for each other and when we re-connect it’s like that time never passed between us. I also consider her my personal DJ—she keeps me up to date with awesome music. She always posts music videos and clips on my FB wall. We sadly only get to see one another a couple of times a year, but we still love and support one another and stay connected. I love you Pheebs!

SHE is…totally logged on and hooked up at all times. She is always Tweeting, Facebooking, blogging, making hilarious YouTube vids and keeping us virtually entertained. She is also a writer for lots of digital outlets, filling in the masses on what to eat, drink and do around town. If a restaurant is opening, a party is happening or something cool is going down Ashley (a.k.a. Hess) knows about it and is Tweeting, Facebooking or writing about it to keep everyone as in the know as she is. Plus, she is hilarious and the best friend a girl could ask for.

Not only does she work all day for a major interactive digital agency, but she also is an amazing blogger on a website she started all on her own (www.youngrichandfakingit.com). She always knows what’s going on, phone in hand, making sure her friends and blog fans are connected and in the know! Very reliable because she is always logged in!

SHE is…not only my sister, but my best friend. She shares her life as a way to show her desire for life. She is not only compassionate and humble, but she shares ways to help those around her who are less fortunate, too. She does all of this as a way to “give back.” Plus, she’s a wonderful mommy, who shares all her adventures with her son, Max. It’s a joy to watch! Can’t think of anyone who deserves this award more!
