SHE IS MY... 9-to-5 Girlfriend (Vote!)

She is the girlfriend you wouldn’t make it through a work day without. Whether your job is incredibly boring like Pam and Jim’s from The Office (minus the whole married part; although you do consider her your “work wife”) or challenging a la Devil Wears Prada, she’s got your back from venting about your crazy boss to going with you on countless coffee breaks.

SHE is…like the chaser to my shot and vice versa. It’s like you can’t have a shot without the chaser or lemon wedge, but it’s so much easier when you have a grip on the kick and that’s what Teria is for me on a daily basis. She keeps me in line and her BIG dreams motivate me to do better professionally and personally. Whether I’m on my soap box, crying in the bathroom or rallying others in the cubicle, my "chaser" is right there to ensure it’s all as smooth as it should be. We are at job number two together (worked in the same office together before being cube buddies now), and I know we won’t be as lucky to work together in our next move, but I have enjoyed her for the last four years. I wish her ALL the luck and success because she definitely deserves it!

SHE is…my other half. She is fabulous in every way. We met at a mutual friend’s baby shower and a year later she was sitting in the room where I was interviewing with my new company. We now share a wall for our cubes and are tighter than a new pair of shoes. Our coworkers call us by each other’s names. We support each other at work and in our personal lives. I couldn’t be in this building without her.
