Holiday parties include the requisite little black dress (or little blue dress!) attire, yummy foods and desserts, and plenty of cocktails. But after 15 invites to the same type of holiday bash, any party girl can get a little bored.

Remember all our Christmas in July suggestions? It’s time to flip the situation and pretend it’s 85 and sunny…when it’s really 25 and snowing. Sport beach gear: bathing suits, grass skirts and sunglasses, topped with a Santa hat or reindeer antlers. Decorate with leis, parrots, and a Christmas tree adorned with seashells and tiki lights. Serve up red margaritas and other summer faves like ice cream and fruit. Ah, so this is how the Aussies feel!
