Smoky Eyes in 4 Easy Steps

Crispy’s question: “How do you wear a dark/smoky eye look without making your eyes seem too small?
Hi Crispy! The smoky eye is sexy, sultry and, well, dark. Yes, dark shadows do tend to make your eyes appear smaller, but they also command some serious attention! There’s a reason the smoky eye has been a favorite of celebrities and sex kittens. Kim Kardashian’s eyes always take center stage, so I spoke to her personal makeup artist Joyce Bonelli to get her tips on how to make eyes pop.
With proper blending and these easy tips, your eyes will not seem small at all….they’ll scream look at me in a BIG way!

1. Let’s start by applying a lighter shade on your lid. A light brown, pearl, taupe grey or violet looks beautiful. Bonelli gave me the inside tip that she uses NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Mediterranee ($32 on Sephora.com). She likes to use the lighter golden side on Kim. It’s a nice base and it lights up the lid.

I am sooo not make up inclined but i think i maybe able to pull this off
I have to try the smoky eye look.
I will attempt to give myself a smoky eye.
Adding a shimmery color right at the brow bone under the brow always helps regardless of what color your wearing
