December Flick Picks
Though there are always exceptions (Inception, The Social Network), generally the best movies of the year are released in December. And why not? It’s right before awards season, it’s way too cold to play outside, and millions of people head home for the holidays only to realize they have absolutely nothing to do.
Whether you’re desperate to escape your crazy Aunt Nelda, needing a little quiet time with your date or just want to get a jump on your Oscar picks, December has a movie for you. Here are a few of our top picks.

1) Black Swan (now playing): If Center Stage taught us anything, it’s that being a ballet dancer is hard—all that not-eating, cigarette-smoking and being seduced by your boss stuff—but no one ever told us that sanity could be on the line. That is until Black Swan, a new psychological thriller from Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler), which pits Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis (real life BFFs) against one another for the leading role in Swan Lake.

Post a CommentBoo, I heard Little Fockers didn’t get good reviews. I still wanna go see it. I like something light hearted.
There’s a Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart movie that I might like to see.
I’m looking forward to seeing Little Fockers. Need a cute comedy.
Will skip the Gwenyth movie, doesn’t interest me.
Totally want to see How Do you Know, but our local paper critic gave it a bad review. I still kinda wanna see it, I like those Romantic Comedy movies.
Might go see Blue Valentine. That one sounds interesting. Heard there is a racy lovemaking scene and that’s why it’s rated NC-17.
Saw the Wrestler on DVD and it was a downer, so for sure, i’ll be passing on Black Swan.
Skipping the tourist, not a fan of Angelina.
The black swan looks too weird and dark. I like watching more uplifting movies particularly during the holidays to get me in the holiday spirit.
I love this time of year because there are so many great movies out!
Probably will skip the black swan
I’m looking forward to seeing Black Swan very soon, but I really can’t wait for Blue Valentine to come out!
these movies sounds interesting
Love it
i want to see black swan and country song.
Black Swan was a really good film. All showings were sold out, luckily I was able to get the last two seats. Must see film.
Not sure if I would see any of these movies.
