Shecky’s

This week, Shecky’s salutes the sultan of all Halloween hotties: Mr. Johnny Depp. From Edward Scissorhands to Sweeney Todd, Johnny has always given us goosebumps (in a good way!).

In honor of Halloween, we have an interesting factoid about Mr. Depp: Did you know that classic horror flick Nightmare on Elm Street was his breakout film? Yep, at a sweet 21 years of age, Johnny left the world of making music (as frontman for band The Kids), horrified Hollywood, and stopped our hearts in a good way as the jerk boyfriend in Wes Craven’s Nightmare on Elm Street.

He continues to be enigmatic, sorta-spooky and sexy, as he takes on oddball rolls in films like Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (as the Mad Hatter) and the continuing Pirates of the Caribbean saga. Something about those bottomless black eyes draws a damsel in, doesn’t it? You can just tell what a risky life this high school drop out has led—at 16, he left his Kentucky home to start a rock band that became successful enough to open for Iggy Pop. Perhaps his sordid history of destroying hotel rooms and leaving supermodels also has something to do with that bad boy appeal. Maybe its his 13 tattoos…or the fact that most of those tattoos contain the names of the women he loves, including his mom and daughter. Awww. That dangerous, strong and sensitive type has gotten to us again!

We at Shecky’s don’t care how downright freaky-deaky Mr. Depp can be—we’d move to his French chateau for a rendez-vous at the drop of a Wonka top hat!
