This Chocolate Trail Mix Is Addicting

GirlieGirl Army has the scoop on green living…and delicious, healthy food finds. See their latest obsession—we’re loving that it’s a chocolate brand created by a woman (more celebration of Women’s Small Business Month!). Read on.

This chocolate trail mix is like crack. …Or as addictive as life must be on the pipe…but the incredibly good for you version. Bet you are thinking of that gross, sugary, rubbery, mealy stuff they sell in vending machines. Hell no. Gnosis Trail Blazing Mix is our new addiction. Using raw organic ingredients exclusively, Gnosis Chocolate is absurdly good.  We already knew that.

But when Vanessa (”Chocolate Girl”) sent us her new Trailblazing Mix we nearly died and went to heaven. In fact, we savored one bag during an entire trip to Los Angeles—from the plane to midnight snacks—and even brought home the last bits of the bag. With ingredients like persimmons, raw chocolate and currants (just to name a few) your mouth will explode into an impassioned “Hoorah!” with each bite. And the energy buzz we got after just a couple handfuls kicks that coffee addiction’s ass.

Immune Boost Trail Mix, Net Wt. 1lb, $19.97, gnosischocolate.com

Now for the spiel: it’s organic, vegan, kosher, raw, heated under 118f, refined sugar free, dairy free, soy free, gluten free, and made freshly and shipped directly from Vanessa’s kitchen! It’s also packaged and produced sustainably, so get the eco-packaging police off the job.

And $20 may seem a lot for a bag of goodies, but this bag is massive and lasts forever…and for all raw and organic ingredients, it’s actually a killer deal. You’ll want to buy this stuff for everyone you know. To die for. Plus, you are supporting an ethical chick’s lil’ love-based business, which should alone make you want to order a pile full.  Have at it.

Hello everyone. I’m Fran…I prefer dark chocolate, because it has the extra benefit of anti-oxidants which are actually beneficial, so you are actually doing something good for yourself by treating yourself to a little chocolate every now and then (in moderation).

My favorite is dark chocolate with nuts. I’m pretty good about not over indulging. I let myslef have some once a month. That way I really look forward to it. If i had it everyday, it wouldn’t be special anymore.
