Let’s face it: we’ve all woken up feeling fat, ugly and completely unsexy before, whether we’re 25 or 45. That’s why it’s both refreshing and inspiring to see women who aren’t just comfortable but proud of their bodies—and they want to spread their good vibes to others. We found an amazing movement that’s empowering women in an easy and unique way.

Operation Beautiful started when then-25-year-old Caitlin Boyle decided it was time to end the “Fat Talk,” a.k.a. the negative thoughts every woman has about her body and image. Caitlin’s goal was (and still is) to have people of all shapes and sizes learn to love themselves. Before her website was launched, she would put post-it notes on the mirrors of public restrooms with encouraging messages about being beautiful and amazing.

Today, people can submit their own unique notes and see their messages and stories posted on OperationBeautiful.com. The movement has taken off, with empowering mantras taped up all over the place to remind women that they are beautiful and yes, there are complete strangers who are enduring the same struggles they are. Caitlin hopes she can reinforce the positive that people see in themselves and in turn create a prosperous and happy relationship with women and their bodies. Caitlin has even penned a book: Operation Beautiful: Transforming the Way You See Yourself One Post-it Note at a Time ($11.56 at Amazon.com).
