Fall TV BFFs
Confession time: There are a lot of TV characters who we know are fictional, but we still talk about them like they’re our real-life best friends. Since our National Girlfriend Awards have come to a close and our winners have been picked (congrats, ladies!), we thought we’d compile a list of potential gal pals from our favorite fall shows.
Blair, Gossip Girl (CW, September 13) – Sure, Blair often finds herself in the thick of some silly scheme or making decisions that make us want to scream louder than the OneRepublic music that plays in the background, but more often than not, Blair displays qualities that we’d love in a best friend. She is loyal and has got one hell of a backbone. We’re confident that if she were our bestie she would defend us to no end…and then seek revenge on any evildoers. Oh, and her wardrobe of designer duds wouldn’t be too shabby to have at our disposal either.
Mercedes, Glee (FOX, September 21) – She fights hard for what she wants and is there to help when push comes to shove. Though it’s hidden behind a tough and sassy exterior, deep down we know that Mercedes has a heart of gold and we would love to be linked to her. She’s also got a stellar voice that brings the house down whenever she sings and a say-what-she-feels, no-holds-barred demeanor to match.
Gloria, Modern Family (ABC, September 22) – Mother of hysterical and adorable Manny and wife to Jay, Gloria’s amazing accent is enough to make us want to be bests. She says whatever, whenever with virtually no filter and without ever being embarrassed or apologizing for it. We especially love how she’s always there for Manny’s romantic escapades, despite the eventual and expected end result.
Liz Lemon, 30 Rock (NBC, September 23) – Quirky, sensitive and nerdy are just three words to describe the dynamic Liz Lemon. She is unabashedly smart and funny, and we have no doubt that she would keep us laughing all day long if we were her pals. She is also hilariously unaware of how to be romantic and/or sexual and her male relationships are enough to make us feel a little bit better about our own love lives.
Pam, The Office (NBC, September 23) – Besides the fact that we may not be able to control our jealousy for beau Jim, we would definitely want to work alongside Pam Halpert (née Beesly). She is quiet, but in more of an observant than timid way. As the show progresses, she gains confidence and consequently changes for the better, speaking up and becoming more self-aware. She would definitely be a loyal and understanding friend.
Lily, How I Met Your Mother (CBS, September 20) – Although sometimes her and (adorable) boyfriend Marshall get into small tiffs, she’s supremely easygoing and willing to partake in whatever plans the boys conjure up. Lily would be a great friend because of her sensitivity and maternal nature, and we would love to hit up MacLaren’s with her sometime!
Destined to be your new wannabe BFF:
Marti Perkins, Hellcats (CW, September 8 ) – Sure to become your new favorite go-to TV gal, Marti Perkins is fiercely ambitious and makes the best of any given situation. Her tough-as-nails ‘tude and competitive nature will have you rooting alongside her when Hellcats hits the air this fall.

Ellie on Cougar Town
Phoebe from Friends.
I’ll have to pay more attention to these shows. I prefer shows like CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Leverage, White Collar, etc…
Holly Madison!! She is the coolest BFF ever!! I love her show and love how well she treats her friends, parties, gifts, EVERYTHING!!
I LOVE Modern Family, so Gloria gets my vote.
Anyone watching the Bachelor Pad?

Keri from Kings of Queens
Karen from Will & GRace
I’m really not into the GG thing, (I think I’m a little too old for that show) but I totally love Brad from the Rachel Zoe Project. He’s fun and stylish and he works for Rachel Zoe. Gotta love that!
I am totally old I never heard of this!
I like Modern Family, either Gloria or the other wife. I don’t really watch any of the other shows.
totally blair from gossip girl!
I don’t watch GG regularly, but when I do, Blair is probably my favorite. Her character cracks me up with her witty comments! Serena is my least favorite character. She seems hopeless bouncing back and forth with the same handful of guys. At least hook up with a new one!
Gotta love anyone from Modern Family! So Funny!
Hands down, Liz Lemon. Well, I’m also partial to Mary Richards of the old “Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
Blair and Serena are my favorite besties!
I’ve gotta say, I’m quite partial to Liz Lemon! She’s smart and sassy and makes my love life look like less of a train wreck!
Blair and Mercedes are my FAV’s – Im also a fan of Serena (Gossip Girl) and Rachel (Glee)
