We’re so glad that purple, long since the color of royal courtiers, queens and princesses, is one of the premier colors coming at us this fall. Since it’s our pleasure to wait on your highness hand and foot (as always!), we’ve crowned our fave violet pieces.

Purple snakeskin and an abundance of bling make Steve Madden’s Kobbe (on sale for $53.96 at Zappos.com) more coveted than Cinderella’s glass slipper. Don them with jeans for a relaxed weekend look or with tights at the office for a pretty break from painful pumps.

Combining two of the season’s loudest trends—cheetah and deep purple—could be a royal disaster, until bizarrely fab genius Betsey does it. Finished with sequins for a skyrocketing dose of stunner, Betsey Johnson’s ‘Climbing Cheetah’ Purple Clutch ($78 at Nordstrom) adds a removable chain-link strap for functionality.
