Before They Were Stars…Here’s Where They Worked
Lifestyles of the rich and famous make it hard for us to imagine celebrities as anything other than…well, celebrities! But we were able to dig up a little dirt on some of our favorite superstars to see what they did before getting their 15 minutes. It’s a nice reminder that everyone starts off small.
1. Before she was the adoring Idol judge, Paula Abdul sang a different tune, rooting for the Lakers as a Lakers girl.
2. The face-painted front man of KISS, Gene Simmons, was loyal to black and white from the tender age of 13. He was a newspaper delivery boy before making it big.
3. While we can’t imagine ever hanging up on our beloved Rachel, we might have when Friends star Jennifer Aniston was a telemarketer.
4. Nicolas Cage was destined for stardom from a young age—he started out serving up the popcorn at the local movie theater.
5. America’s sweetheart, Julia Roberts, was sweet long before she was landing leading roles—this pretty woman served up ice cream.
6. The ever-stylish Kanye West paid his fashion dues at the GAP.
7. Queen Latifah fit right in with the crowns and palace theme at Burger King.
8. Funnyman Jerry Seinfeld had a bright idea, selling light bulbs before ultimately having his own brilliant show.
9. Cyndi Lauper claims “girls just want to have fun,” but we can’t imagine how much fun she had emptying dog kennels way back when.
10. Tom Cruise was melting hearts before hitting the big screen, working as a bellhop at a hotel. We’d sure tip him well.

I worked in a non-profit law firm as my first job. I went into medicine instead.
My first job was at a law firm as a legal secretary. Even though I’m a teacher now, so much of what I do stems from the office. It was a great start!
My fist job was delivering the pennysaver, then working at Genovese drug store, then a realestate agency, and non of it has to do with what i do today. However i have learned how to work for what i want b/c then i’ll appreciate it more.
LoL…..I first worked in a supermarket as a cashier…then I worked at a licensed starbucks in the supermarket…and then I quit the market to work for Starbucks the company…and Now I am a Bank Teller even though I went to school for Nursing and Medical Assisting…Smdh But Im still young…
My Mom worked part-time at a fast food restaurant & got me a job working on Saturdays. I liked making the hot dogs but I hated cleaning the refrigerator! It was dirty work but the free food was great! I have been a fitness instructor for the past 18 years and I love it. I can eat as many hot dogs as I want and still stay in shape (even though I would only eat in moderation). I love how rewarding it is to be able to motivate and help people “love” to work out!

my first job was answering the door & telephone at my church in the rectory. i think it paid like $3/hr. now i’m a high school math teacher, so no, my first job has nothing to do w/ my current job
WOW it is soo hard to believe they did those things.. Cleaning a dog kennel??? there is no way i could do that. My first job was a receptionist for an engeneering firm. Havent worked in retail now in a hospital so I have been a little fortunate. I wish I were as fortunate as the celebs..
They were once like the rest of us but were blessed to get the lucky break!
