We recently gave our Sheckter’s the scoop on neon nails. Meg from Meg’s Makeup told us all about her neon faves and why she thinks anyone can rock ‘em (we know you were a little concerned last time!). Hear her out and let us know if you’ve tried the trend since we spoke last….

From Rihanna to Diane Kruger, neon nails are the top summertime trend. We saw a spring filled with steely grays, sexy smokes and muted taupes. It was all fairly drab for our digits…until summer arrived! If you’re wearing a French manicure, then you might want to grab the nail polish remover.

Neon ‘80s-inspired nails are everywhere and on everyone! Katy Perry’s nails in China Glaze’s Yellow Polka Dot Bikini ($5.99 at SallyBeauty.com) got as much attention as her blue wig. YSL cannot keep their new La Laque line in stock. With colors like Ultra Orange and Ultra Violet…it’s so ultra hot it’s sold out everywhere!

The great thing about this look is that it’s inexpensive and anyone can pull it off. If you’re really shy, you can get away with wearing it on your tootsies! It’s this summer’s hottest accessory, and it’s bold enough to stand alone on the beach. (Um, who’s wearing jewelry to the shore?! Yeah, no one!) Give the neons a whirl, turn up Def Leppard, and pour some, er, nail polish on those bare digits and toes. The ‘80s  are back for the summer!
