Claudia here! Next week is your chance to kick off the summer “Sex and the City meets Shecky’s”-style at Girls Night Out New York City Summer 2010. To help you burn the most calories during your special event day in SoHo, I’m sharing a few of my favorite pit stops in the hood to enjoy before and after Girls Night Out…vacation day recommended!

WHAT: A.m. Energy

WHERE: Birdbath Bakery at 160 Prince Street

TO DO: Start your day with coffee and a pretzel croissant at The Birdbath, a super-organic local bakery brought to you by the creators of City Bakery. The walls are made from wheat and the cups are made from corn. Add a chocolate chip cookie to your order for later… they are r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s!

WHAT: Primp Sesh

WHERE: Cutler Salon SoHo at 465 West Broadway (Psst! They were a 2009 Beauty at its Best winner!)

TO DO: A Shecky’s night means getting your picture taken on our red carpet and on your girlfriend’s camera (which will likely make its way to Facebook). Perfect excuse to update your ‘do with an appointment at Cutler salon…just like I did for the last Shecky’s Girl Night Out New York City (take a look at the video!). If you hear a sexy Australian accent, that’s the owner (and my friend) Rodney…I credit him for SoHo’s most fun, friendly and fantastic salon staff.

WHAT: Mid-day Nosh

WHERE: La Crepe at 51 Spring Street

TO DO: Now that you’re perfectly coif’ed, refuel with a delicious snack that won’t cut into your shopping time at La Crepe. Choose from sweet, like Nutella and sliced bananas, or savory, like ham gruyere cheese and egg. Tasty and très chic, oui?

WHAT: Shop Stop

WHERE: Kisan Concept Store at 125 Greene Street

TO DO: Get a little pre-Girls Night Out warm up and window (or really) shop at Kisan Concept Store, the IT store and current celebrity favorite. This experimental retail space features a meticulously curated mix of women’s brands like Vanessa Bruno, Farmers Market and Isabel Marant, as well as stationery, glassware, books, presents for kids and more.

WHAT: Mani Makeover

WHERE: Haven Spa at 150 Mercer Street (Psst! They were a 2009 Beauty at its Best winner!)

TO DO: If your girlfriend can get off work early, have her meet you at Haven for a mani and pedi; they carry all the Essie and Zoya colors (Mariana is great if you can get her). Enjoy that foot massage since you’ll be asking your feet for forgiveness after GNO.

WHAT: Girls Night Out NYC

WHERE: 82 Mercer

TO DO: Where to start?! Definitely visit Shecky’s Haute Hostess Lounge to get entertaining tips for summer and try a Bacardi Classic Cocktails Pina Colada (delish!). Text your favorite song to DJ Saigon as she spins the beats Midori Mixes-style. Get a picture taken on the VEET red carpet with their male models (yow-za!). Check out body jewels from newbie Fancy Sexy Me…and of course, say hello to me at Claudia’s Closet, where I’ll be showcasing some of my favorite GNO things.

WHAT: Grub With the Girls

WHERE: 10 Downing at 10 Downing Street

TO DO: All shopped out and ready to have a civilized meal? Hang up your Goodie Bag a few blocks west at 10 Downing Food & Wine. They feature outdoor seating, a killer wine list and 25 small to medium dishes that are great for sharing. You can’t go wrong with the Maine Peeky Toe Crab Ravioli.

WHAT: Next-Day Detox

WHERE: Dermalogica at 110 Grand Street
