From the desk of an editorial assistant…

My dear readers, you have given me great insight on everything from appropriate PDA to the best way to figure out what to wear in the morning. I’m begging you for help with my latest query: What the f’ is up with everyone’s celebrity obsession?

Everywhere I turn, I see something about Sandra Bullock and that dude she made a sex tape with…or Tiger Wood’s eight million mistresses. Who cares, honestly? Better yet, why do so many people care about what these Hollywood residents do? Nobody writes about me when I start dating a new guy. I know, I’ve never been in a movie, but I could just break into a celebrity’s house and star in my own reality TV series (I feel embarrassed that I even know about that show).

I think that all the celeb hype is downright ridiculous. Everything they do is front page news—from what they’re eating to who they showed up on the red carpet with. Even worse? The fact that paparazzi stalk them to catch them naked in the “privacy” of their backyard, or fans who start their own websites dedicated to their fave famous people. WTF?! Are some people so bored with their own lives that they need to live vicariously through celebs?

If you are a celebrity-obsessed, please offer up an explanation. I’m curious; I just want to understand the excitement about it all. If you’re as baffled as I am, feel free to rant and rave as much as you want. Reading what you guys have to say is the highlight of my day (seriously).
