I have a question that is eating me alive, to the point that if I don’t ask now, I might explode.  Here it goes…

Why do couples feel like they need to make out with one another in public?

Now before you starting believing I’m a cynical, cold-hearted bee-otch after reading my last rant about men, hear me out…

Whenever I spot these love-sick couples, I’m almost always on the subway. The subway: a small, confined space, crammed with complete (and often strange) strangers.  Plus it reeks. That doesn’t sound romantic on any level, can we all agree on that? So why do these couples think that now is the appropriate time to suck face and touch each other inappropriately, in front of me and the rest of the E train riders? I would speak up and tap them on the shoulder: Um, excuse me. Do you mind? but I’m too busy trying to keep my lunch down. I mean, that’s all great fun that you are in love and just love each other and you are just so attracted to your love monkey, but keep it behind closed doors (and not the closing doors)! Please and thank you.

My faithful, beloved readers…please weigh in on this. Am I the only one who is disgusted in this animalistic act taking place on the subway? I want to hear, er, read your thoughts about how you feel about PDA. Is it fine in moderation? Or appalling, period? Bottom line: should I get over it?
