La Vie en Rose
From Beauty at Its Best

For you, stopping to smell the roses is much easier said than done. But girl, it’s high time you recognized the prettifying power of the flower. A natural source of vitamin C, the beneficial bloom is known to smooth the skin’s texture, fight hyper-pigmentation and even out tone. No wonder the potent perennial is popping up everywhere! Here, we’ve hand-picked a bunch of botanical beauties.

This year’s winter brought skin drier than a saltine cracker. If yours is still little feeling a little stale, derm Dr. Sebagh’s Rose de Vie Serum ($250) is a perfect pick me up. Harnessing the vital powers of the rose to lock in moisture and prevent dehydration, this super-serum will leave you looking luminous, and yes, even a little bit rosy.

Just when you thought kissing couldn’t get any better, Fresh Beauty’s Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment ($22) gives new reason to prep that pucker. Made with all natural lip conditioners, shea butter and boasting a romantic rosy hue, this superb salve will definitely make you want to want to plant one.

Someone once said every rose has its thorn, but we’re not sure that goes for Korres’ Wild Rose Instant Brightening and Illuminating Mask ($29). The result of too much time spent in the greenhouse, the all-natural mask taps the vitamin rich oils of the wild rose to diminish fine lines, hydrate and resurface the skin.

Despite our best efforts, winter always brings forth dry, dull skin. Remedy thyself with Ren Cosmetics Moroccan Rose Otto Sugar Body Polish ($60). Gentle enough for even you sensitive types, the all-natural scrub, enriched with fair trade rose extract and sugar from Paraguay, smoothes away dead cells to leave your stems looking perfectly polished.

Oh, little red. Looks like your skin got into a fight with a big bad bush, and lost. Take comfort in Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist ($9). This oil-free micro blend packs a macro punch of refreshment that won’t leave you high and dry. After a few spritzes of the all-natural toner, you’ll be loving living la vie…en rose.

Post a CommentI don’t mind when things have Rose in them and work well and I love the fresh flower smell of roses. I do not like the smell on my body for some reason.
The Body Shop also has a great Moroccan Rose body butter.
