As much as we love to see our favorite stars shine, the (secret) reason we watch awards shows is to see who is a hot mess on the red carpet. Here are our picks of the Oscars’ worst dressed actresses. Even though Mariah can hit the high notes, this Valentino gown was not one of them. The high slit and major boob-age was too much for an elegant night.

We did say that ruffles were a big trend this season, but we should’ve put more emphasis on ruffles inmoderation. Vera Farmiga went way overboard in this Marchesa gown.

Samantha Harris looked great from the neck up, but her dress looks to be about two sizes too small. Too bad for a woman with such a great bod!

Little Bo Peep called, she wants her dress back, Diane! From the front, this Chanel dress looked hopeful, but the back side looked like a pile of tissues tied in a bow.

From one side, this Armani Privé gown looked stunning on J. Lo, but when she turned to strike another pose, eek! She grew an extra leg! Maybe she should have just walked sideways all night?

Most women don’t like drawing extra attention to the twins… obviously Charlize Theron didn’t mind! Looks like Christina Dior placed two rose buds, well, on her buds. Thumbs down.
