From the desk of an editorial assistant…

I love all kinds of men…never had a true preference for their physical characteristics or even personalities. (Perhaps this is why almost every guy I have ever dated turned out to be a butthead?) But if there were a macho line-up in front of me, forget the bad boy, or the punk rocker, or the hipster prepster boyster. It’d be the guy in a uniform that I would jump in a nano-second. And, to get more detailed, the specific uniform in question would be straight from the military.

Holy hell, stop the presses! Navy, Army, Marine, Coast Guard (they look so cute in those sailor suits), there is instant attraction. There have been plenty of times that I’ve spotted a uniformed military man and just walked right up to him to chat. And I’ll put up with all kinds of ridiculous crap from them—Hey baby, did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?—that I’d laugh at from any other man. Even if a guy is unattractive, to me, a military uniform makes him instantly irresistible. Why is that?

I really think I speak for most women when I say that men in uniform are insanely sexy. I’m not sure what it is…maybe it’s that authoritative demeanor or heightened manliness or innate ability to follow directions. Whatever it is, it’s a major turn-on in my book. So now that I’m all lathered up about this topic (is it hot in here, or just me?), do you have an answer, my lovelies, as to why men in uniform are so attractive? What is your favorite kind of man? (I love that this makes them sound like ice cream flavors!) And if you agree with me on the total hotness of military men, who is your preference?
